ABOUT

LORE

is an event series that re-imagines storytelling through immersive social experiences—also known as “parties”—where music, narration, performances, and visuals combine to re-tell a classic folktale like "Hansel and Gretel" or "Little Red Riding Hood."

Hunter narrates their original take on the story over a DJ set by Delilah, with performances by other artists throughout. Guests are immersed in custom projections, lighting, creating paid work for dozens of artists. Together, we revive the tales’ ancient, radical spirit while updating the technology of oral storytelling for a new generation. Our unique events expand access to both nightlife and art—and their combined potential to unify, heal, and uplift.

LORE has presented work at Hex House, Good Room, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Abrons Art Center (New Dance Alliance Performance Mix Festival), The Brick Theater, Le Petit Versailles, Rubulad, and secret queer festivals in Vermont and Tennessee. Hunter and Delilah have held residencies at Wassaic Project and Chinkapin Craftstead, and received a Puffin Foundation Grant.

Hunter is a fabricator and performance artist with work at Performance Space NY, the Southbank Centre, and Dixon Place. Delilah is a DJ and writer published in Rolling Stone, Mother Jones, Slate, and Pitchfork.
